Cold Weather Continues, Get Ready For More Snow

  • Barrie – Orillia – Midland, Ont. (044100)
    Fenelon Falls – Balsam Lake Park – Northern Kawartha Lakes, Ont. (044710)
    Lindsay – Southern Kawartha Lakes, Ont. (044730)
    Dufferin – Innisfil, Ont. (046500)
    Caledon, Ont. (046610)

A period of very cold wind chills is expected.

Wind chill values near minus 35 will moderate early this morning as cloud cover increases and temperatures rise.

Extreme cold puts everyone at risk.

Dress warmly. Dress in layers that you can remove if you get too warm. The outer layer should be wind resistant.

Significant snowfall later today into Tuesday morning.

Snow, at times heavy, will develop later this afternoon or early evening and persist into Tuesday morning. Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are possible.

Travel may become hazardous due to reduced visibilities in heavy snow and blowing snow.

This snow is associated with an Alberta Clipper that will cross the area.
