ARRESTED – Two People Accused Of Attempted Murder In Connection With Midland Assault

UPDATE – ARRESTED: John Lavechia of Tay Township and Michelle Tavenor of Midland have been arrested. The arrest warrant was executed by Sault Ste. Marie Police. Lavechia and Tavenor will appear in court in Barrie on Oct. 28.

Arrest warrants have been issued for two people wanted on charges of attempted murder and other offences related to an Oct. 19 assault that occurred in Midland.

John Lavechia, 38, of Tay Township and Michelle Tavenor, 38, of Midland are both wanted on charges of attempted murder and a number of other offences related to the investigation. Both people have connections to the Tay Township area and, while the OPP do not believe they are a danger to the public, police urge the public to not approach them if they are located and to call 911.
