The 24th Annual Outstanding Bracebridge Business Achievement Awards Gala was held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the Bracebridge Sportsplex.
97 individual nominations were received. 2,557 voters responded with 13,835 votes in total. Nearly 200 people came out to celebrate excellence in our business community.
Twelve awards were presented. The recipients were:
2018 New Business of the Year Award was Sponsored by Gagnon’s Your Independent Grocer and Presented by Angela Gregor and Mar Groenevelt. The winner was Kelly’s Kitchen Pub. Patrick Kelly accepted the award.
2018 Established Business of the Year Award was Sponsored by TD Canada Trust and Presented by Alison Loxton. The winner was Lilibird. Steen Jensen accepted the award.
2018 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award was Sponsored by RBC Royal Bank and Presented by Brea Lajambe. The winner was Nicole Manion from Muskoka Aesthetics. Nicole Manion accepted the award.
2018 Excellent Retail Customer Service Award was Sponsored by the Bracebridge Business Improvement Area Association and Presented by BIA President Lindsay Alexander. The winner was Circle K. Hamza Khattack accepted the award.
2018 Home Based Business of the Year Award was Sponsored by Your Local HVAC Team Inc. and Presented by Jeff and Lindsay Leney. The winner was Muskoka Baby Inbibity Scarves. Samantha Welch accepted the award.
2018 Daniel Keane Entrepreneurial Legacy Award was Sponsored by the Muskoka Small Business Centre. Terri Plaxton-Smith and Sammi Turchet explained the award’s significance and Emily Keane presented the award. The winner was Charlotte Carron. Charlotte Carron accepted the award.
2018 Service Provider of the Year Award was Sponsored by Speedy Glass Bracebridge and Presented by John Blackall. The winner was The Play Pit. Andrew and Emily McQuade accepted the award.
2018 Tourism Award was Sponsored by Muskoka Tourism and Presented by Michael Lawley.
