Snow squall warning replaces snow squall watch for:
Midland – Coldwater – Orr Lake,
Orillia – Lagoon City – Washago,

Current details:
First heavy flurries and snow squalls of the season beginning near noon.

Hazard:
Locally heavy snowfall of 10 to 15 cm.
Local snowfall rates of 2 to 4 cm per hour resulting in reduced visibilities at times.

Timing: This afternoon into tonight.

Discussion:
Locally heavy flurries and snow squalls are expected to develop off of Georgian Bay this afternoon. These flurries and snow squalls will last through tonight before weakening through the day on Monday.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution as some roads and highways may become snow covered and slippery.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
