Sixth Annual Marner All-Star Invitational Unites Philanthropy And Hockey Enthusiasts For A Great Cause

The highly anticipated Marner All-Star Invitational is back for its sixth season, promising an
unparalleled hockey experience for partners and on-ice action for participants of all ages. This unique event, taking place on July 11 and 12, 2024, has rapidly become a cornerstone in our community, uniting hockey enthusiasts while supporting the Marner Assist Foundation.

The Marner Assist Foundation (MAF), led by Mitch Marner and supported by the MAF team, has been helping local and grassroots community-based organizations since its inception. The foundation aims to create lasting change for children and youth by focusing on social care, health, education, and the environment. Its goal is to ensure that children have a sustainable future.

The Marner All-Star Invitational is more than just a hockey event. It’s a celebration of unity and camaraderie, bringing together its philanthropic community with some of the best athletes in the world. The thrill of the event “Faces Off” with the 19+ Tailgate Party (July 11) featuring a night of delicious eats, cocktails, and unique auction items. Mingle with Mitch Marner and his roster of celebrity coaches in a relaxed, engaging  atmosphere. Past celebrity coaches included Mitch’s current and former teammates John Tavares, Auston Matthews, Michael Bunting, and Jake Muzzin. Olympians such as Laura Stacey, Natalie Spooner, and Erin Ambrose, as well as NHL alumni and sledge hockey players, have also participated. The “Puck Drops” the next day (July 12) with the on-ice Team Challenge. Participants of all ages will showcase their skills in puck control, stick handling, scoring and maneuvering through an obstacle course that will test their footwork, speed, and shooting accuracy, all under the guidance of the celebrity coaches.

Then, the excitement wraps up with the Celebrity Coaches Showcase. Participants, guests and partners watch as the celebrity coaches demonstrate their hockey prowess, thrilling fans with speed and precision on the ice.

The Marner All-Star Invitational and the foundation’s additional grassroots initiatives have profoundly impacted, raising nearly two million dollars. These funds have supported initiatives such as providing Second Harvest with donations that facilitated the distribution of over 250,000 meals for people in need, a grant supporting the Child Life program at SickKids Hospital, and a three-year commitment to support F.E.M.A.P and Lumenus, which supports youth facing mental health challenges. The foundation has also helped
hundreds of children and youth in need gain access to various summer camps and after-school programs, making a tangible difference in their lives.
