Replica Firearm In Bracebridge Leads To Charges

Bracebridge OPP have arrested one person in a firearm-related incident in downtown Bracebridge.

On May 10, 2023, at 10:20 a.m., police received a call from a member of the public reporting that a man was standing on the sidewalk at the intersection of Manitoba Street and Taylor Road while holding what appeared to be a handgun. Police responded very quickly due to public safety concerns and were able to take control of the individual and place them under arrest. Further investigation revealed that the firearm was a replica.

The name of the accused and charges were not released.
