On Monday November 7, 2022 at 7:15 p.m. Almaguin Highlands OPP responded to a single vehicle in a ditch on Highway 518 East, Perry Township.
Police investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle, Craig Owens 52 years-of-age of Springwater Township had been drinking. The driver was subsequently arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Operation while prohibited
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80plus)
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday December 8, 2022, in Sundridge, Ontario.
