On December 10, 2022 at 3:45 p.m., a Bracebridge OPP officer was on general patrol in the town of Bracebridge near Meadow Heights Drive and conducted a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act offense. The officer soon entered into an impaired driving investigation and subsequently arrested and charged the driver, 35-year-old Evan Monk of Port Sydney, ON, with the following:
- Impaired Operation of a Vehicle
- Over 80
- Operation While Prohibited
- Having Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available
- Having Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 3, 2023 to answer to his charges. Furthermore, his vehicle has been impounded.
