Yesterday, hundreds of grade 10 students in Trillium Lakelands District School Board secondary schools attempted to write an online version of the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test. This assessment, required by all students prior to graduation, has previously taken place in March using paper copies of the test. Unfortunately, with students from across Ontario attempting to login to the EQAO-directed test, the system failed. EQAO cancelled the online test, have apologized for the inconvenience, and are looking into the situation. Students will not be disadvantaged in any way due to this circumstance and will have the opportunity to write the test at a later date.
See this letter issued from EQAO.
