Orillia OPP Report Five Impaired Drivers

The Orillia OPP have charged five drivers with impaired driving, four of which were involved in a collision, between March 11 and 13, 2022.

On March 11, 2022, at 1:15 a.m., Orillia OPP stopped a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed while conducting speed enforcement on Highway 11 northbound in Severn Township.

As a result of the investigation, a 17-year-old from Ramara Township, has been charged with:

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, at a later date.

 

On March 12, 2022, just after 1 a.m., Orillia OPP responded to a single vehicle colliding into a hydro pole on Highway 11 southbound at Line 1, in Oro-Medonte.

As a result of the investigation, Jordan Harrington (age 22), of Orillia, has been charged with:

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, on March 29, 2022.

 

Later that day, at 9:29 p.m., Orillia OPP responded to another single vehicle collision, where the vehicle struck a tree on Memorial Avenue in Orillia.

As a result of the investigation, Nathan Burke (age 23) of Orillia, has been charged contrary to the Criminal Code with:

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, on April 5, 2022.

 

On March 13, 2022, at 1:53 a.m., Orillia OPP responded to a single vehicle rollover collision in Ramara Township.

As a result of the investigation, Scott Smallwood (age 45) of Eldon Township, has been charged with:

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, on April 19, 2022.

On March 13, 2022, just before 10 p.m., Orillia OPP responded to a single vehicle collision, where the vehicle collided into a trailer on West Street North in Orillia.

As a result of the investigation, Michael Squires (age 43) of Severn Township, has been charged contrary to the Criminal Code with:

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, on April 12, 2022.
