Orillia OPP Investigating Two Separate Break And Enters Within 40 Minutes

Tthe Orillia OPP are investigating two separate Break and Enters that occurred within 40 minutes of one another at two separate Orillia businesses. Both Break and Enters are believed to involve the same suspect.

On March 24, 2024, approximately 3:05 a.m., Orillia OPP responded to a local business on Mississauga St East after reports of several alarm hits. Uniformed officers arrived on scene and observed the rear metal door pried open and the glass door smashed open. A search of the area was conducted with assistance from the Emergency Response Team (ERT), but a suspect, was not located.

Shortly after at approximately 03:41 a.m., Orillia OPP responded to a second alarm call to a business on Westmount Drive. Uniformed officers arrived on scene and observed glass smashed at the front entrance. Extensive patrols were conducted in the area, with negative results.

The investigation is ongoing. No further details to be released at this time.
