Orillia OPP Find Impaired Driver On Hwy. 11

The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a male with impaired operation.

On October 5, 2024, at about 9:00 p.m., an officer from the Orillia OPP Detachment was proactively patrolling Highway 11 North Bound at Menoke Beach Rd and conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with the male driver police entered into an impaired investigation resulting in the request of an Approved Screening Device (ASD). As a result, a failure was registered, and the driver was arrested.

Parth Vora, 26-years-old, from North York has been charged with:
Adult Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
Adult Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, to answer to the charges at a later date in October 2024. As a result of these charges, her driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and vehicle impounded for a period of 7 days.
