Orillia OPP Continue Evidence Search While Seeking Two Suspects In Robbery Investigation

The Orillia OPP are continuing their search for evidence at the scene of a robbery from earlier in the month while asking for public assistance in locating the remaining two suspects in the case.

Members of the Orillia OPP Crime Unit, along with the Canine Unit, are returning to the area of the robbery to continue a ground search and complete a canvass of nearby residences. The Orillia OPP responded to a robbery with weapons at a James Street address just after 11:30 p.m. on March 11. Locals noted a heavy police presence as members of the Orillia detachment, Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) and Canine Unit (K9) responded to the area. Two male suspects are in police custody facing multiple charges including robbery and weapons-related charges, but the Orillia OPP continue to seek two additional male suspects connected to the robbery.
