OPP Traffic Stop Leads To Multiple Drug Charges In Parry Sound

Just before 6 a.m. on July 1, 2017, members of the West Parry Sound OPP were on general patrol in Parry Sound when they observed a vehicle cross the centre line. A traffic stop was then conducted.

Investigation revealed that during the traffic stop, false names were given to police. Several occupants were then arrested. During the interaction a quantity of controlled substances were located.

As a result of the investigation, Jennifer Fellinger, 30, of Saugeen Shores, was arrested and charged with: Driver Motor Vehicle – No Licence; Fail To Drive In Marked Lane; Use Other Person’s Licence; Fail To Comply With Recognizance (4 Counts); Possession of Schedule I Substance (2 Counts); Possession of Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking; Possession of Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marijuana – Under 30 grams; and Possession of Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Ryan Gray, 40, of Niagara Falls, was also arrested and charged with: Fail To Comply With Recognizance (5 Counts); Possession of Schedule I Substance (2 Counts); Possession of Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking; Possession of Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marijuana – Under 30 grams; and Possession of Schedule IV Substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Nadia Persaud, 36, of Stoney Creek, was arrested and charged with: Obstruct Peace Officer; Fail To Comply With Recognizance; Possession of Schedule I Substance (2 Counts); Possession of Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marijuana – Under 30 grams; Possession of Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking; and Possession of Schedule IV Substance for the purposes of trafficking.

The accused persons were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
