OPP Seeking Assistance In Assault Investigation On Penetanguishene Walking Trail

Investigators from the Southern Georgian Bay OPP are seeking assistance from the public after a Penetanguishene resident reported being assaulted on the Trans-Canada Trail between Scott and Owen Street around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday July 17, 2021. The victim provided investigators with a description of the two suspects he fought off while walking along the trail as follows –

first suspect

male, short, heavy build with short hair

second suspect

male, six feet tall, long hair with possible facial injuries.

The OPP reminds all members of the public to be aware of their surroundings and personal safety at all times.
