On September 25, 2024, members of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP responded to a report of a robbery that had occurred at a multiple resident dwelling on Elizabeth Street, Midland.
Attending officers spoke with the 45 year old male victim who had been physically assaulted and robbed of personal property while outside on the property of the dwelling by another person known to the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital for further treatment of his injuries suffered in the assault and later released.
Investigators identified the suspect and through investigation located and arrested Ryan David Dicks 41 years of no fixed address, Midland at 9:54 a.m. on October 22, 2024.
The accused has been charged criminally with the offence of Robbery with Violence and was held for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.
