OPP Looking For Driver After Motorcycle Struck On Highway 118


On September 05, 2019, shortly before 5:30 p.m. Haliburton Highlands OPP were called to assist at a collision on Highway 118 just east of Carnarvon.

A westbound motorcycle was struck by an eastbound car that crossed the centre line. The motorcyclist was hit in the hand with the mirror of the car. The eastbound car failed to remain at the scene of the collision. The motorcyclist was treated at an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are looking for assistance from the public in identifying the driver responsible. The suspect vehicle is dark coloured Dodge or Chrysler type vehicle with damage to the driver’s mirror. Body Shops should be on the lookout for vehicles coming in with this type of damage.
