OPP Find Two Impaired Drivers Leaving Bracebridge Restaurant

On Wednesday December 12, 2019 at 12:30 a.m. Bracebridge OPP received a call from a concerned member of the public about two people that had left a restaurant in Bracebridge, in separate vehicles potentially with alcohol in their systems.

The vehicles were both located nearby and as a result of their investigation police arrested and ultimately charged 35 year-old Nicholas Watman of East Gwillimbury and 37 year-old Jeffrey Anderson of Sunderland each with Refusal to Comply with Demand (for breath). They will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 7, 2020 to answer to their charges.

Drivers charged with Impaired Driving related offenses will have their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

Many impaired drivers are taken off of area roads as a result of information from engaged members of the public taking the time to call. If you suspect a driver is impaired please call police (9-1-1) from your hands free device.
