The Orillia OPP have charged one male with multiple Highway Traffic Act violations following a traffic stop.
On April 9, 2022, shortly before 5 pm, an Orillia OPP officer stopped a pick-up truck in the Brechin due to safety concerns for the vehicle. Upon speaking with the driver, police learned that he was a suspended driver since 1982.
As a result of the investigation an 82-year-old male, from Kirkfield, was charged with the following Highway Traffic Act offences:
- Drive unsafe motor vehicle
- Drive while under suspension x3
His vehicle was subsequently seized and towed.
