On July 8, 2021, members of the North East Region Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) of the OPP assisted by OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) and West Parry Sound Detachment executed a drug warrant at a residence on Miller Street in Parry Sound.
Officers seized approximately $6500 in suspected cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine and oxycodone.
As a result of the investigation, Vicki Thiffault, 38 years-of-age and Warren Lawson, 57 years-of-age, both of Parry Sound were arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
Thiffault was further charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Fail to comply with probation order
Both accused are scheduled to appear in Parry Sound Court on August 5, 2021.
