One Person Taken To Hospital After Apartment Fire In Orillia

On October 20th, 2024 at about 4:08 p.m. officers of the Orillia detachment of the OPP responded with Orillia Fire and Simcoe County Paramedics to a structure fire at an apartment building on West Street North between Borland Street and Jarvis Street in the City of Orillia.

Shortly after 4:08 p.m. Orillia Fire attended to the fire and quickly put it out. Orillia OPP and Simcoe County Paramedics arrived soon after to assist. One person was transported to local hospital by paramedics with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. As of 5:22 p.m. West Street North is closed between Borland Street and Jarvis Street as emergency crews continue to attend to the scene and investigate.
