On May 13, 2021, Southern Georgian Bay OPP responded to report from a local tradesman that human remains had been located in Church Bay, Honey Harbour.
The body was removed and sent to the Centre of Forensic Sciences – Science for Justice in Toronto for examination. The identity of the body was confirmed to be that of the missing person Samim Ayam whose death has been deemed to be non suspicious in nature.
The male was last seen at the Markville Mall on November 4, 2020. The 24-year-old’s car was found parked at the Honey Harbour Marina.
