Midland Male Faces Several Charges After Nov. 13th Incident

Midland Male Charged with Numerous Offences

As a result of this investigation Michael John Ransom 44 years of Midland was arrested at the scene and has been charged with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.

OPP CONDUCTING INVESTIGATION ON FRAZER DRIVE MIDLAND RESULTING IN ROAD CLOSURE

Police Presence Clearing, Hold and Secure Lifted

The Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is now clearing the scene on Frazer Drive in Midland, where one individual has been taken into custody.

On November 13, 2024, at approximately 9:05 a.m., the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment responded to an incident at a residence on Frazer Drive. The road was closed between Rose Crescent and Park Avenue.

An individual has been taken into custody without incident. As a result, the hold and secure at St. Theresa’s Catholic High School has been lifted.

Police resources will be clearing from the area shortly. The investigation is ongoing by the OPP Southern Georgian Bay Detachment, with assistance from the Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit and Crime Unit.

Updates will be released if appropriate.
