Midland Collision Sends Four People To Hospital

A motor vehicle collision has sent four people to hospital, including one person who sustained injuries requiring transport to a Toronto-area hospital via ORNGE air ambulance.

On June 5, 2023 just after 1 p.m., Southern Georgian Bay OPP along with the Midland Fire Department and Simcoe County Paramedics attended Simcoe Road 93, one kilometer north of Highway 12 for a report of a three vehicle collision involving injuries. One involved vehicle left the roadway as a result of the collision, all involved parties were transported to hospital.

As a result of serious injuries, one party was flown to a Toronto-area hospital by ORNGE air ambulance. The area where the collision took placed is presently a construction zone. Photo of the collision attached.

The section of Simcoe Road 93, between between Highway 12 and Yonge Street, remains closed while the OPP Central Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) unit investigates the scene of the collision. Please avoid this area in your travels.

This matter remains under investigation.
