Local Couple Steps Up Big Time To Help South Muskoka Memorial Hospital

Long time cottagers, now permanent Muskoka residents Stephen and Kathy Moulton are
proud to support their South Muskoka Hospital Foundation with one of the largest gifts in
the Foundation’s history. They have committed to an annual donation that will help
purchase urgently needed equipment, as well as support staff education and wellbeing at
South Muskoka Memorial Hospital.

“It’s important to us to not only help purchase the equipment, but to ensure the people
using the equipment know we are here for them too.” says Stephen and Kathy “We
wouldn’t have the great care we do without them.”

In recognition for their generous contribution and ongoing commitment, the waiting room
in the Emergency Department has been named the Stephen and Kathy Moulton
Emergency Department Waiting Area. “We’re proud to recognize Stephen and Kathy in
this meaningful way” says Foundation Executive Director Leah Walker, “When donors
make an ongoing commitment to the hospital it allows us to better plan for future needs
of the hospital and of the community.”

While the government funds the basic operating costs of the hospital, the Foundation
relies on the generosity of the community to support capital projects, equipment and new
technology. For more information on the current needs of the South Muskoka Hospital
