Celebrate the legacy of one of Canada’s greatest singer-songwriters at the Lightfoot Days Festival of Orillia, happening from October 31 to November 3, 2024. This four-day festival will feature a vibrant lineup of music, workshops, art, and community events, honouring the iconic Gordon Lightfoot.
Festival Schedule of Events!
Thursday, October 31
· 7:30 p.m.: Kick off the festival with a live performance by The Lightfoot Band at the historic Orillia Opera House.
Friday, November 1
· 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. & 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Participate in Music Workshops with The Lightfoot Band at Creative Nomad Studios.
· 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.: Join us for Memories of Gordon Lightfoot, a night of stories and music at Creative Nomad Studios.
· 9:00 p.m.: Join the music folk crawl at venues in downtown Orillia and other locations.
Saturday, November 2
· 11:00 a.m.: Mayor’s Proclamation of Gordon Lightfoot Day, featuring music by Steve Porter in front of the Opera House.
· 11:30 a.m.: Explore the NSA Pop Up Art Show/Sale –Green Room Opera House.
· 11:30 a.m.: Enjoy the StreetsAlive installation in downtown Orillia.
· 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: Join the Folk Crawl at downtown and other venues.
· 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.: Take a Tour of the Opera House, stories of Gordon Lightfoot.
Sunday, November 3
· 10:30 a.m.: Attend a special church service at St. Paul’s Church Centre.
· 12:30 p.m.: Gather for the Closing Ceremonies at Mariposa Market.
· 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.: Celebrate the festival’s conclusion at PicnicWine Tapas Bar featuring the High Steppin Strutters.
· Special Event: Gordon’s Birthday Celebration
