Police have laid impaired charges on a driver.
On February 25, 2023, just after 6:30 p.m., the Killaloe OPP conducted a traffic stop on a passenger car on 60 Highway in the Township of North Algona Wilberforce.
As part of the investigation, the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing. As a result of the investigation, 37-year-old John Fulford from North Algona Wilberforce Township was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Impaired operation of a motor vehicle; and,
- Operating a motor vehicle while having over 80 mgs of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on April 12, 2023, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The accused’s driver’s licence was seized and suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle towed and impounded.
