The Huntsville Theatre Company (HTC) invites you back in time for a fun filled evening while supporting local theatre!
On November 23rd, HTC presents a One Night Speakeasy fundraiser. The Canvas Brewery will become a 1930’s hot spot with live performances, a cash bar and hors d’oeurves being served. There will be singing and dancing throughout the night in a classic speakeasy atmosphere. Dressing up to match the time period is encouraged! Proceeds from the evening will go towards the HTC’s annual scholarship program as well as the upcoming season.
“It’s great to come up with a different concept,” says HTC board member Aussa Penniall, “The event will involve the audience so they will feel like they have gone back in time.”
Mallary Duncan, president of HTC, has said this is a great opportunity to not only enjoy a fun evening but also showcase what the local arts community has to offer.
“The HTC is dedicated to entertaining with a community spirit! This event is another opportunity for community members to participate on and off stage! We are thrilled to be back at Canvas for this one night only immersive theatre experience.”
The One Night Speakeasy takes place Saturday November 23rd at Canvas Brewery (12 John Street). The event is 19+ and starts at 8pm. Tickets are $20 per person.
