As a small business owner, Geordie understands firsthand the challenges families and small businesses face here: rising costs, tough financial choices, and a need for a place to call home. He bootstrapped his media business, created jobs and managed multi-million-dollar projects. He serves as a volunteer firefighter in Huntsville, sits on the school parent council and supports local arts initiatives including Huntsville’s Got Talent.
“I grew up knowing the value of hard work, family, and community. Leadership starts with understanding, and I’m ready to work to take our community forward and build a country that leads with courage,” said Geordie.
When asked why he wanted to run for MP, Geordie said: “My son asked me to run, and when I thought about how much his future will be affected by this election, I stood up and raised my hand. Canada and Parry Sound-Muskoka were built by those who dared to dream, worked hard and stood up for each other. I want my son and all the other young people in my community to have that same chance. Now, more than ever, we need leaders who serve with courage, lead with vision and bring people together. I think Mark Carney is the right leader for the job.”
