October 30th 2024 at 12 p.m., the Huntsville OPP responded to a disturbance on Old Muskoka Road, of a naked male running on the roadway.
The investigation revealed the accused had been acting strangely and became aggressive towards the victim. The victim was struck with an object and physically assaulted as well.
The victim was assessed for minor injuries by Muskoka Paramedic Services and did not require any further medical attention.
The accused was taken into custody without incident.
Thomas Fletcher, 34 years old of Huntsville is charged for:
· Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choke, suffocate or strangle
· Assault with A Weapon
· Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused remains in custody and will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice on October 31, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.
The Huntsville OPP want to advise this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
