Huntsville Declares Significant Weather Event

As a result of local snow fall amounts and deteriorating road and sidewalk conditions, Huntsville residents are advised a Significant Weather Event has been declared for the Town of Huntsville, today December 24, 2022. During a Significant Weather Event (By-law 2021-17), residents should note caution will be exercised by Town of Huntsville Public Works crews, and standard maintenance levels of service may take longer than normal to complete due to the weather conditions.

In addition, the District of Muskoka has also declared a Significant Weather Event, as of December 23, 2022, which effects all District of Muskoka roads. Read the District of Muskoka’s release at muskoka.on.ca.

Public Works crews will continue to provide maintenance and snow removal throughout the weather event provided it is safe to operate during the weather event. Crews will resume normal operations as soon as possible during or after the weather event has ended.Residents and visitors are asked to use caution and avoid non-essential travel.
