The Town of Gravenhurst is inviting the public to put on their red and white gear and join Mayor Paul Kelly and town council for a free Canada Day celebration at Gull Lake Rotary Park on July 1.

The celebration begins at 11 a.m. with a birds of prey show followed by the junior firefighter challenge, which is featured alongside various interactive tents that are open throughout the day. Hot dogs hit the grill starting at 11:30 a.m. and free Canada Day birthday cake will be available as Mayor Kelly provides opening remarks and an official welcome at noon. The event will feature beach activities and a magic show from 1 to 3 p.m. before the afternoon finishes off with the Bifocals Concert Band taking the Music on the Barge stage.
