Government Invites Local Feedback Through Online Consultation

The Ontario government is giving locals a chance to voice their feelings on how to improve governance, decision-making and service delivery for regional governments and member municipalities through an online consultation.

Anyone who lives or works in the District of Muskoka can share their thoughts through the online consultation until the deadline on April 23. Special Advisors Michael Fenn and Ken Seiling will assess the feedback from the online consultation in addition to meeting with municipalities and stakeholder groups.

“This is a great opportunity for residents of Muskoka to share their thoughts about how regional government is working for them,” said Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP Norm Miller. “I encourage anyone who is interested in this review to share their ideas and concerns.”

Special Advisors Fenn and Seiling will also provide advice and recommendations to Steve Clark, minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, this summer.

“I look forward to receiving the recommendations and hearing what is working in the regions and Simcoe County, and what can be improved,” Clark said.
