Early season accumulating snowfall event today and Tuesday.

A large area of snow will move in from the southwest today. Snow will continue tonight with amounts near 10 centimetres expected by Tuesday morning in most areas. Periods of snow will continue Tuesday with another 2 to 4 cm expected.

Total snowfall amounts will range from 10 to 15 cm to locally up to 20 cm over higher terrain by Tuesday evening.

The snow affecting Ontario is a result of a low pressure system from the Southern Plains States moving into Southern Ontario today.

Driving conditions are expected to deteriorate after the snow arrives today. Motorists should allow extra time to reach their destination.
