Orillia Mayor Steve Clarke presented grants to four local organizations at Orillia City Centre on July 25 as part of the 2019 general grants program.

The Born to Read Committee received a grant of $750, the Orillia Terry Fox Run Committee was awarded $706.87 and the Orillia Jazz Festival received $1,000. The Orillia Vocal Ensemble received the largest grant at $1,500. The four grants represent the second round of grants for the 2019 general grants program.

“The City of Orillia is proud to continue to support local organizations through the general grants program,” Clarke said. “Orillia is fortunate to have such dedicated volunteers and community groups who contribute to the betterment of the community, giving their time towards worthy causes and events.”
