Five People Taken To Hospital After Crash On Hwy. 400 At Crooked Bay Road

A two-vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of Highway 400, Georgian Bay Township, just north of the ramp to Crooked Bay Road has sent one of the drivers to a Toronto area trauma hospital.

Southern Georgian Bay OPP along with Muskoka Paramedic Services and Georgian Bay Township Fire Services were dispatched at 9:10 p.m. June 3, 2023 to a scene in which five people were transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

One of the vehicle drivers was extricated by fire services prior to transport to an area hospital and was further transported to a Toronto area trauma hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

As a result of the crash investigation, a 33-year-old male of North York has been charged with Careless Driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

The southbound lanes were closed to traffic from 9:40 p.m. June 3, 2023, and were reopened partially at 12:57 a.m. June 4, 2023.
