The Town of Bracebridge recently granted over $25,000 in festival and event funding to many organizations in Bracebridge through the Town’s annual Event Tourism Grant Program.
Deputy Mayor Rick Maloney stressed the importance of festivals and events as a tourism driver for Bracebridge as well as his delight to see the return of festivals to the summer roster, “The Town’s support of these events certainly contributes in bringing visitors to Bracebridge. Further, they provide opportunities for our community to reconnect; to come together when we’ve been unable to do so over the past few years.”
Collectively, the awarded events attract approximately 25,000 people, many of which are out of town visitors using amenities such as accommodations, restaurants and shopping. This in turn drives spending into the local economy.
The recipients for 2022 are:
- Music at the Meadows $2,500.00
