Exciting Summer Opportunities Available With The Huntsville Festival Of The Arts!

This summer, Huntsville Festival of the Arts is offering employment opportunities to young people in the community. Thanks to the Federal Government’s Canada Summer Jobs Program, 4 local youth between the ages of 15-30 will work with the festival of the Arts through the busy summer months to support and participate in their diverse program of concerts and events. If you have a passion for music, art, and community engagement, then these summer job opportunities might be just for you!

Position: Festival and Special Events Host

Application Deadline: May 10, 2024

Interview Dates: May 15 & 16, 2024

Contract Dates: May 27 – August 18, 2024

Hours: 35 hours/week

As a Festival and Special Events Host, you’ll be at the heart of all the action! You’ll assist in running concerts, events, and arts programs, working alongside experienced professionals in a fun, fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include setting up and running equipment, assisting visiting artists and musicians, and helping coordinate various aspects of HfA’s summer events and concerts.

This position offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills, engage with diverse community members, and contribute to the vibrant cultural scene of the Huntsville area. Position: Education & Outreach Program Coordinator

Love meeting new people? Want to make a positive impact on your community? The Education and Outreach Program Coordinator gets to attend all events and concerts, help lead HfA’s educational programs and camps, and assist in developing programs that engage and support our community.

From facilitating arts education activities to coordinating volunteers and managing concession sales, this role offers a diverse range of responsibilities and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Plus, with the chance to attend all of HfA’s events and concerts, you’ll be at the centre of the action all summer long!

Both positions are made possible through the Federal Government’s Canada Summer Jobs Program. Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years old, Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or individuals with refugee protection status, and legally entitled to work in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation.
