E-Bike Stop Leads To Weapons And Drug Charges In Orillia

The Orillia OPP have arrested two individuals following a traffic stop on two e-bike operators in the City of Orillia on May 28, 2022.

On May 28, 2022, shortly after 7 p.m. an officer observed two e-bikes in Orillia driving in an unsafe manner and not properly wearing their safety equipment.

Upon stopping the individuals, one individual was identified to be a suspended driver and had an outstanding warrant. During the investigation police located a black pellet gun, a conducted energy weapon, as well as suspected fentanyl.

The second individual was also identified as a suspended driver. Police located suspected cocaine in the possession of the second individual during the investigation.

As a result, Police have charged the following individuals:

Adam Norwood (age35), of Orillia ON, with the following:

The accused was released on an Undertaking and will appear on July 19, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, Ontario.

Christopher Draper (age 38), of Orillia ON, with the following:
