On Tuesday September 10, 2019 at 9:15 a.m. the Orillia OPP were on general patrol conducting speed enforcement on County Road 169 near Rama Central School in the Township of Ramara. Officers noted a vehicle at a high rate of speed in the Community Safety Zone. The vehicle was travelling 102 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.
Police determined that the driver had an odour of an alcoholic beverage on the driver. The driver refused to submit to a roadside breath test.
43-year-old Tasha Fluke of Oakville was charged with Refusal to Submit to a Breath Demand and Speeding in a Community Safety Zone.
The accused was released on an appearance notice with a court date of October 08, 2019 in Orillia.
