On May 12, 2019 shortly after 8:30, West Parry Sound OPP was called to a vehicle running off the road on Highway 69 in Henvey Township, Ontario.
Police arrived on the scene and spoke to the driver and determined he had consumed alcohol. The West Parry Sound Detachment arrested its nineteenth impaired driver of 2019. 37-year-old Owen Smith from Richmond Hill, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Careless driving
The driver was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled in Parry Sound Court on June 6, 2019. The vehicle he was driving was impounded for seven days.
