Driver Charged With Impaired After Vehicle Crashes Into Midland Home

Southern Georgian Bay OPP responded at 2:55 a.m. on Wednesday September 18, 2019 to a report of a vehicle into a house on William Street, Town of Midland. Responding officers along with Midland Fire Services and County of Simcoe Paraedics located and treated five occupants of the vehicle. Four passengers were transported by Paramedics to Georgian Bay General Hospital for treatment of their injuries and later released. A male occupant of the vehicle was identified as the driver and a drinking and driving investigation was commenced at the scene. The completed investigation has resulted in Kyle Sandy, age 27 of Christian Island being charged with

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous Operation causing bodily harm
  • Operation causing bodily harm 2 counts

He was released from police custody and will appear in Midland Court on October 3, 2019 his driver’s licence that has been suspended for 90 days under the conditions of the Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) .
