The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle versus E-bike collision at the intersection of Barrie Rd. & Walker Ave in the City of Orillia.
On September 19, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., officers of Orillia OPP, along with Orillia Fire and Simcoe County Paramedics were called to a motor vehicle collision at Barrie Rd. and Walker Ave. Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle with substantial damage and an E-bike on its side with a driver laying beside it.
The male victim, who was operating the E-bike, appeared to be suffering minor injuries and was transported to a local area hospital, where he would be treated and later released.
The driver of the motor vehicle was charged with Careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
