The City of Orillia made a statement online encouraging residents to report concerns about road conditions like potholes and ponding as warmer weather starts to enter Muskoka.

“Potholes are created by standing water and thaw/freeze conditions and generally occur until the frost is out of the ground and snowbanks have dissipated,” said the statement. “Although staff are out proactively (seven days a week during the season) looking for areas of concern, we encourage you to help us out by reporting any potholes or water ponding concerns.”

To report concerns about a location, email or contact staff in the Environmental Services and Operation Department during regular business hours at 705-326-4585.
