Christmas Trees Needed To Transform Bracebridge Library Into Winter Spectacle

If you have an artificial tree you no longer need, consider donating it to the Coulson Family Bracebridge Library to help them prepare for the holiday season.

The Coulson Family Bracebridge Library is preparing to kick off the holidays with The Polar Express Holiday Event.

The event is themed after the iconic Christmas film and will happen on Friday, Nov. 29 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with crafts and activities for all ages, hot chocolate, and music to get you in the festive spirit.

The event will be highlighted by the illumination of 12 artificial trees on display throughout the library. Decorations for the trees are also being accepted.

If you have an artificial tree or decorations that you’re willing to donate, please email info@bracebridgelibrary.ca or call Ashleigh Whipp, Manager of Community Engagement and Programming, at 705-645-4171 ext. 3808 to arrange a drop-off time.

“We want to help the environment by keeping useable trees out of the landfill,” explains Whipp. “And, in the spirit of the holiday season, we want to use the donated trees and decorations to turn the library into a winter spectacle for the entire community to enjoy.”

The library is hosting plenty of events between Tuesday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Dec. 20. You can register for them on the library’s website.
