The Bracebridge Rotary Club is proud to announce its collaboration with HUB Productions and Theatre Muskoka in bringing the critically acclaimed musical Billy Elliot to the community. This groundbreaking partnership promises a spectacular production that combines the talents of local performers, the expertise of HUB Productions, and the artistic touch of Theatre Muskoka.

Billy Elliot is a heartwarming and inspirational story that follows  the journey of a young boy from a small mining town who  discovers his passion for dance against the backdrop of economic  hardship and societal expectations. The production explores  themes of resilience, self-discovery, and the transformative power of pursuing one’s dreams.

“We are thrilled to be part of this collaborative effort with HUB Productions and Theatre Muskoka,” said Jean Polak, spokesperson for Rotary Club of Bracebridge. “This partnership has established a new way to continue the wonderful tradition of an “Annual Rotary Musical”, which our club has produced as a community service for almost fifty years. The partnership, and indeed this production, aligns with our commitment to supporting the arts and providing enriching cultural experiences for our community. Billy Elliot is a powerful and moving story that resonates with audiences of all ages.”

HUB Productions, known for its high-quality theatrical education programs and productions, brings its expertise to the collaboration, ensuring a visually stunning and emotionally impactful experience. Theatre Muskoka, a cornerstone of the local
arts scene, contributes its artistic vision and community engagement to enhance the overall production.

The production will feature a talented cast of local performers who have been diligently rehearsing under the direction of HUB’s Emma Grimstead, to deliver a performance that captures the essence of Billy Elliot.
