Canada Day Celebrations Are Coming Back To Bracebridge

The Rotary Club of Bracebridge has been pleased to be the organizer of the town’s Community Canada Day Fireworks on July 1st over many years, a celebration that is important in both bringing our community together and attracting visitors.

COVID-19 has not allowed organizers to host this celebration in its traditional fashion over the last two years, making this year’s event all the more important to our community.

As Rotary has in the past, they are partnering with the BIA, Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce, Town of Bracebridge
and the Government of Canada to expand this celebration beyond our evening fireworks show and to create more fun for the community.

The day will begin with late afternoon celebrations in downtown Bracebridge provided by the BIA and Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce. Beginning at 6 pm, there will be a series of musicians
performing below the base of the falls to entertain the gathering crowd, with a professional sound system that broadcasts the music and celebratory messaging to both sides of the bay.

Food vendors, cheer demonstrations and a beer tent will add to the celebration. The day will culminate with the annual fireworks show at 10 pm, which has always received outstanding reviews and comments.

On the Main Street, the BIA has planned an afternoon (from 4-8pm) of festivities that will include: live music, scavenger hunt featuring Canadian food, games, street vendors and a 60 foot dining table will line the streets and live demonstrations from Annex and Una will happen during the day.

Stop by the Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce all day to get your Canada Day flags, stickers, tattoos and celebratory cupcake!

As always, the Fireworks portion of the event needs your support through donations. The Rotary Club recommends a $5 donation per person. The money collected at the entrances offsets the cost of putting on the event and any surplus is put back into our community through the projects we support through our club.

Bring the whole family for an evening of community joy and national pride on July 1st!
