Joyce Burns of Bracebridge won “Ontario’s jackpot” – $654,526.10 in the April 22, 2023 LOTTARIO draw.
Joyce says she’s been a regular lottery player for many years and loves to play LOTTARIO. She is excited to experience her first big win!
It was early in the morning when Joyce scanned her ticket on the OLG app. “I saw the words ‘Big Winner’ and didn’t believe it,” she recalled. “It was shocking!”
Joyce woke up her son to share her exciting news. “He said, ‘Wait, what?’ so I scanned it in front of him so he could see for himself! Then I called my sister – she thought something was wrong because I called her so early,” she laughed.
With her winnings, Joyce plans to pay some bills and invest. She’s also considering going on vacation.
“Of all the people that play, I am that one winner,” she smiled.
