On Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 1:10 a.m., while on general patrol in the town of Bracebridge, a Bracebridge OPP officer noticed a vehicle travelling on Taylor Road at a very high rate of speed with no lights on. The vehicle turned onto Cedar Lane and sped past the OPP detachment at more than twice the posted speed limit.
The officer was able to stop the vehicle and conducted an investigation that resulted in 22 year-old Taylor Forester of Bracebridge, being charged with Stunt Driving (Racing a Motor Vehicle – Excessive Speed), Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Novice Driver – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) Above Zero and Driving a Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Alcohol. He will appear in Bracebridge Court on October 08, 2019 to answer to his charges.
The mandatory driver’s license suspension when an operator’s BAC is above 50 mg/100 mL of blood is 3 days and furthermore the driver’s license suspension for a stunt driving offense is 7 days along with a 7 day vehicle impoundment.
