Author George Daniels will be speaking about his life as depicted in his new autobiography George Works!: Lad to Leadership, The Making of a New Canadian at the Muskoka Authors Association meeting on May 16.
In his autobiography, Daniels delves into his time as a young English immigrant who came to Canada and embraced “the best of what our country stands for,” according to the release. Daniels has worked as a bush pilot, builder, cowboy, commercial pilot, heavy equipment operator, TV tower technician and more. He will share tales from his life and his book at the event on May 16 at the St. Thomas Anglican Church at 4 Mary Street in Bracebridge. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7:00 p.m.
“What George does in this book is provide all kinds of advice and lessons for the reader to use in her or his pursuit of personal objectives – successful pursuit, that is!” said Lieutenant-General Richard Rohmer.
Daniels is also a bilingual motivational speaker and has found time to serve as an advocate for the environment, community improvement and municipal issues while taking leadership roles in each of the organizations he has served.
